Transit Strike, revisited
I was perhaps a bit too brief on my original treatment of the transit strike. As some of you know, I live right next to the 59th Street bridge in Manhattan. This bridge connects Manhattan to Queens, and further on to Long Island proper. My apartment faces 2nd Avenue, which is the largest bridge approach at 5 lines wide.
As a result of the strike, traffic over the bridge has been horrible in the evening, usually starting around 8 or 9pm. Through some strange twist of fate, it appears that traffic gets worse as the evening gets later and later. Well sure, traffic really sucks when you’re sitting in it, but it is even worse when the traffic comes into your house.
The next time you’re in traffic, and you’re pissed at the moron in front of you who just won’t clear out, think of this: Honk at your own risk. You never know when I might snap and take to the roof with my carton of eggs.
Plus, it just makes people think you’re an asshole. Relax man, turn on the radio, and chill the fuck out.

Hey, at least you weren’t in the tram.
