It’s been a busy few weeks, and while there’s nothing truly major to report in my usual longwinded, excruciatingly detailed fashion, there are a few more minor points:
- I started my new job at WAWD on Nov. 14th. This week of working from home has been good. It’s kinda nice to be able to take 5 minutes and go lay down on my bed if I need a break.
- Spoke to an accountant earlier in the week, and got a good vibe. I suppose as with all things, I’ll have to shop around before I decide. I hate doing that.
- Tiffany and Craig’s wedding is tomorrow, and Dori’s friend Ayalla is in town for it. Visitations ensue.
- Spent last weekend at my sister’s for her birthday, it was fun. I bought her a copy of Quicken 2006, and that’s when the party really got started.
- Managed to stop the recently-frequent 3am pages at GeekISP. Sanddollar will behave better and I’ll sleep, so its a win on all fronts.
- Made marginal progress on my queue app, so I’m about 3 inches closer to allowing my customers to restart their own rails apps. *sigh*
- Home PC is definitely more healthy now that the NVidia firewall app is uninstalled, but it still locks periodically. Sometimes its a BSOD, sometimes just hangs. Considering that I’m supposed to spent money to offset taxes, I may just replace it and be done with it. Still feels like such a waste, though. Also I can’t get rid of the nagging feeling that I can fix it, which of course I have no interest in doing.
That’s about all for now. Oh and I’m out of my mind in several Go games. I think I’ve lost like 4 in a row, but granted I’ve been playing white against a 2+ stone handicap. I’d like to get a real board, but I have nobody to play with.
